Bandwidth: How much data gets transfered from your site each time a user views something.

Database: This contains one or more tables. Each table can be identified with a "name". The tables themselves contain the data used for your website.

Direct/hot-linking: Everytime a user steals bandwidth from you. This means they link to a page or file on your site for people to see at theirs. For example, if someone went and linked something from us like http://www.animegraphx.com/image.jpg it would be bandwidth theft because we uploaded that for our site and they have no right to take it. However, steps can be taken to ensure people don't steal from you.

HTML: Hyper text markup language. This is the language that computers use to make things on the internet.

Javascript: This is a scripting language made by Netscape. With Javascript (often called Java) you can spice up your site with things like simple games, codes, as well as a few other things.

Link: A link is a way to connect you from one site to another. For instance, Anime Graphx links its affiliates, so that you can get to them through our site.

PHP: This is a different kind of page from an HTML one. What is better about this is that it is easier to change layouts for your site, and you can add a lot of cool scripts.

SHTML: This is similar to HTML, although the only difference is that it contains SSI.

SQL: This stands for Structured Query Language. It is the standard language computers use and is very useful. If you know hwo to use it, you can access and manipulate databases.

SSI: Server Side Includes are commands you can include in your webpages. It is a method in which certain functions get performed/information gets added to a web page.

URL: Uniform resource locator. A URL acts like an address, and by typing a certain one in it takes you to that certain page. This could be compared to your home address (url) and when you get there you find a house. (web page)

(Web) space: Web space is something that you need in order for people to view your website or page. In real life, it could be compared to be buying space (web space) so you can build a house (web page/site).

Web page/site: This is your page or site on the internet. A page like the name says, only has one page for you on the internet. A web site contains multiple pages on the internet.
